Biography:

When Ivan was seven years old his dad signed him up for a hunter’s safety education course where he was taught both marksmanship and firearm education. He fell in love with the sport of shooting and shot rifle for the Gallatin Valley Sharpshooters in Montana.

After high school he attended Murray State University where he shot air and smallbore rifle on their team and was a 7-time All-American. He joined the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in 2019 and has been shooting for them since.

The Manhattan, Montana, native has topped the podium both in the states and internationally. At the 2022 Championship of the Americas, he took gold in Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Position and earned the U.S. a quota spot in the event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He was crowned World Champion alongside teammate Sagen Maddalena in the 50m Rifle Prone Mixed Team event at the 2022 International Shooting Sports Federation World Championship.

Ivan currently has three ISSF Grand Prix medals and is looking to make his Olympic debut in Paris
